Peter Hershberg
Managing Partner
Reprise Media

Peter Hershberg brings Reprise Media a unique combination of consulting and senior executive experience in technology and media. Prior to co-founding the company, Hershberg was vice president of strategic development at Ask Jeeves, a leading provider of natural language question answering and advanced search technologies. In this role, he created long-term strategies for Ask Jeeves’ Web Properties business unit. He was a key decision maker in the company’s new business ventures and acquisitions.

Hershberg initially joined Ask Jeeves as the company’s vice president of targeting and acquisition in April 1999. He led a team of 35 media sales professionals across four regional offices, and was charged with creating and selling advertising and sponsorship partnerships through Ask Jeeves and the Direct Hit Network. Hershberg was also responsible for the conceptualization and execution of Ask Jeeves’ e-commerce strategy. Under his stewardship, the company’s monthly e-commerce revenues grew by 1500% in 2001. Within the structure Hershberg initiated, client pages appeared for the first time as answers to users’ questions, providing a direct call to action for users along with a cost effective and measurable solution for marketers. This innovative e-commerce model was one of the earliest forms of what soon after became widely known as “paid inclusion” in the internet community.

Prior to joining Ask Jeeves, Hershberg was co-founder and CEO of Rotomedia, Inc., a boutique consulting and advertising representation firm for web marketers and publishers. Rotomedia's clients included such companies as America Online, Disney and General Motors. The company was acquired by Ask Jeeves in April 1999.
