About Mitch Joel:
Remember Archie, Gopher and Mosaic? Mitch does. Marketing, Communications, Sales and Interactive expert, Mitch loves being an entrepreneur. To this day, he's also an avid tech junkie, public speaker and freelance journalist/blogger. He owned one of the first publications ever to go online in 1994. Mitch's online marketing and sales skills helped build Mamma.com, where Mitch spearheaded their Premium Search Result initiative (one of the first pay-per-click search engine advertising programs that integrated organic and paid results).
As a Co-Owner of Twist Image - Multimarketing Studio, Mitch develops brand relations, handles marketing and communications programs and directs the creation of comprehensive web strategies for Fortune 1000 organizations.
Twist Image - Multimarketing Studio was founded in 2000 to deliver the latest in marketing and communications materials using the latest in technology. In 2002, Twist Image won the coveted Boomerang Award for "Innovation in Technology" based on an interactive project for Bombardier and MGM Motion Pictures. They are included in Bull Market, Seth Godin's directory identifying the Top 500 creative/marketing firms worldwide.
Mitch is the Vice-Chair of Quebec for IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) Canada and is an Executive Committee member for the eMarketing Council, Digital Marketing 2005 Committee and an awards judge for the CMA (Canadian Marketing Association). He is also a member of the Relationship Marketing Association. Mitch is a Subject Matter Expert for interactive marketing, online PR, Blogs and the search space. He is also the founder of the Montreal Business Book Club.
In 2004, Mitch was awarded The MS Leadership Award, presented by the MS Society of Canada to people whose professional and social achievements have contributed to the growth of their businesses and the development of Quebec society. He also received a National Young Leadership Award of Distinction presented by UIA Canada, the 2004 Jon Roskies Award for New Leadership, the Koach Award for exemplary leadership in the 2004 Young Leadership Campaign and a Special Merit Award in recognition of leadership and dedication to the 2003 CJA Campaign. Mitch was a finalist in Fast Company Magazine's 2004 Fast 50.
