Patricia Brusha is the Director, Distribution Management for New Castle Hotels & Resorts. She has spent 26 years working in the Hospitality Industry in the United States and Canada in the fields of Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management. 18 of those years she was employed by three separate Management Companies (Lodging Unlimited, CHIP Hospitality and New Castle Hotels & Resorts) where her responsibilities were working with Multi-Branded portfolios along with Independent Hotels & Resorts. Responsibilities have included driving top line revenues through direct sales, accurate forecasting, yielding inventory and marketing initiatives. She has been involved with multiple New Openings, Brand Conversions, Distressed Property Turn- arounds, and Hotel Re-Positioning's.
Patricia has also taken an active role in training including teaching 4 semesters at Macomb Community College in Michigan where she taught, Revenue Management Training and The Hospitality Selling Method. Recently she has developed and conducted multiple, Understanding Internet Distribution Workshops for her current employer New Castle Hotels & Resorts. Taking the education of e-distribution a step further, Patricia has co-ordinated a series of monthly phone workshops entitled "Distribution Dialogues", where guest speakers address current hot topics in the area of e-distribution.
In her current position of Director, Distribution Management, Patricia is responsible for the distribution efforts of 23 properties including Marriott's, Starwood's, Hilton's and Independent Hotels & Resorts. She works closely with the third party Intermediaries as well as the Brands to insure her properties generate incremental revenues and stay within Brand Compliance Guidelines. She was also instrumental in choosing and working with their GDS Provider for their Independants, VIP.
All of New Castle Hotels & Resorts properties have their own websites and one of Patricia's main focuses is to work with each of her properties to Update Content and co-ordinate their Search Engine Optimization Process, ( Organic and Paid Placement) and Marketing Efforts. In addition she publishes a weekly "e-letter" called "Connections" for all of her properties with the latest Distribution & Optimization News and Developments.
Patricia has recently been elected as Chairman of the HEDNA IDS ( Internet Distribution Systems) Committee for 2004 and is a committee member on the HSMAI Internet Marketing Strategy Committee.
