Isabel Schoenberger,
Vice President of Search for CPC Logic,
Cars.com
Isabel Schoenberger is Vice President of Search for CPC Logic, a division of cars.com (formerly NewCars.com), and is among the foremost
experts in Automotive Search Engine marketing (SEM). One of the first to specialize in the automotive vertical, she has mastered both
the art and science of automotive search optimization.
Schoenberger began her career in SEM more than four years ago when she joined NewCars.com to help fulfill the company´s vision of an
automotive lead generation business fueled entirely through SEM.
In addition to business development for CPC Logic, Schoenberger worked closely with company partners and founder Martin Schmitt to
develop proprietary search management technology designed to optimize keyword position. The technology is now the cornerstone of
CPC Logic and at the center of the company´s ability to deliver strong performance in all search applications of the business.
Today, Schoenberger spearheads all SEM activity for CPC Logic and manages key SEM projects for the company´s base of automotive
search management clients.
Schoenberger has built relationships with all major search engines including Google, Yahoo! and MSN. She also works closely with many
others including Miva, Ask, LookSmart, Search 123, and has worked in partnership with many of the search engines to conduct tests of
their new products and applications. As a result of her significant experience, Schoenberger has received special accreditation
from both Yahoo! and Google. She is Google Certified and a Yahoo! Ambassador. She also has led CPC Logic´s efforts to become a
Google certified company, one of only a handful in existence.
Schoenberger brought her considerable automotive SEM expertise and analysis skills to leading manufacturers in 2004, managing complete
SEM programs from strategy development to keyword purchasing and ad copy creation. In addition to a variety of campaigns for
manufacturers such as DCX, she has led Ford Direct´s nationwide SEM initiative since June 2004. In 2005, she took her national
SEM expertise one step further and built a local search management product for dealerships, which is now available to dealers
through cars.com.
Prior to joining CPC Logic as the company´s first employee, Schoenberger was an entrepreneurial designer, running her own interior
design firm in southern California called Mundus IPO. A native of Germany, Schoenberger held a variety of positions in the automotive
sector prior to moving to the U.S., including positions with Mercedes–Benz and Alamo, where she led employee training initiatives
throughout Germany as part of the company´s Auto Hansa merger.
Schoenberger studied international economics in Germany and attended California State University, Northridge, where she received a
Bachelor of Arts degree in international business.
