Dan Boberg is Senior Director of Strategic Alliances for Yahoo! Search Marketing. He joined the company in April 1999 and is responsible
for managing the company’s Sales Technology and Programs teams, focused on developing and servicing key partnerships with search engine
marketing technology providers and agencies. Named as one of B2B Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2004, Boberg has worked to
drive Yahoo! Search Marketing’s industry leadership in several key areas.
More recently, Boberg was instrumental in launching Yahoo! Search Marketing Advertiser Web Services (AWS), a program that enables
programmatic campaign management via APIs.
Prior, he pioneered the company´s Ambassador Program (now referred to as the Yahoo! Search Marketing Alliances Program), which helps
search engine marketing companies streamline their work with Yahoo! to drive targeted sales leads to clients. Boberg began his career
at the company in Marketing where he founded the Advertiser Referral Program, enabling companies to make money referring new advertisers
to Yahoo!
Prior to Yahoo!, Boberg was Director of Business Development for PhotoSort, a supplier of conference and trade show networking tools.
He also was a member of Microsoft’s product planning team responsible for developing the personal financial management software product
Microsoft Money.
Boberg received a B.A. in Political Science from Seattle Pacific University and an M.B.A with emphasis in Marketing and Technology from
the University of Southern California.
