Emily Schubert
Director of Merchandising & Marketing Operations
Travelocity

Emily Schubert has worn almost as many hats at Travelocity during her five year stint with the company as the many countries she has visited. Since January 2003, Emily has worn the hat of the director of merchandising and marketing operation and has played a key role in strategy development of merchandising and search engine marketing.

Emily built her diverse skill set through her previous role as director of content for Travelocity where she defined the overall content strategy and delivered online content to match corporate and advertising goals. Not a stranger to delivering key messages, she also served as senior manager of content and managed the overall vision of the non-transactive side of the Web site. Emily entered Travelocity as product manager of the destination guides where she crafted and updated destination-related content such as maps and currency converters.

Prior to Travelocity, Emily developed and managed the corporate brand for a rapidly growing financial services Internet company, mPower.com. She also provided consulting services to foreign credit unions and financial institutions as project manager of practitioner services at Freedom from Hunger International.

Emily received her MBA from the University of Southern California where she was a Dean's International Fellow in the Philippines and her bachelor's in Sociology and Anthropology from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
