Bloglines at Ask Jeeves
Mark Fletcher leads Bloglines, the world's most popular free Internet
service for searching, subscribing, publishing and sharing news feeds and
blogs. Bloglines was acquired by Ask Jeeves in February 20005, and
continues to operate as a distinct web property within the Ask Jeeves
family. Mark is a serial entrepreneur who began his start-up career as a
senior engineer at Diba, an information appliance technology company
acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1997. Following Diba, Mark founded and was
CEO of ONElist/eGroups, an email community service which grew, over 24
months, to 17 million members and 800,000 unique email groups before it was
acquired by Yahoo! The ONElist/eGroups service continues to successfully
operate today as Yahoo! Groups. Mark holds a BS in Computer Science from
the University of California, San Diego.
