Kenneth Norton
Senior Director, Product Management
Yahoo! Search, Yahoo!, Inc.
As director of product management for Yahoo! Search, Kenneth Norton is
responsible for driving strategic product initiatives as well as
overseeing ongoing product development. After joining Yahoo! in March
2003 Ken led the Yahoo! Shopping product team through the most dramatic
and most successful redesign since its launch in 1998.
Prior to its acquisition by Yahoo!, Ken was the director of product
strategy at Inktomi. Prior to Inktomi, Ken had a rich entrepreneurial
background in Web-based services and products. He was one of the
co-founders of Grand Central Communications, a leading Web services
network and an innovator in enterprise application integration. He also
served as chief technology officer at NBC Internet and its predecessor,
Snap, one of the earliest search engines. Ken was a member of Snap's
founding team at CNET Networks where he served as director of software
engineering. He received a bachelor's degree from Boston University and
a master's from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in engineering
management.
