Noel McMichael
President
Marketleap

Noel McMichael is Marketleap's president and chief executive officer. He and colleague Paul Owen founded the company in 1999 with a vision to create a new type of Internet consultancy that helps companies effectively manage online customer relationships and achieve Internet-related business objectives. Today Noel leads a thriving business that continues to develop pioneering technologies and successful online marketing campaigns for its impressive client roster.

Noel developed his Internet expertise as a senior web engineer and project manager at First Consulting Group (FCG) where he managed the Internet initiatives of the firm's largest client, Catholic Health Care West (CHW). In 1999 he was awarded "Webmaster of the Year" from eHealthcare World for his role in creating, building and marketing CHW's public website, www.chwHEALTH.com, and developing and implementing a comprehensive intranet system for CHW's 40,000 employees. Noel also received the FCG Jim Reep Annual Achievement Award for his contributions to FCG's Network Integration Services in 1998. Prior to joining FCG, Noel was the Director of Internet Development for MDB Information Network.

Before his high tech days, Noel served as a member of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service for the Department of Commerce abroad at the American Embassy in Singapore. Notably he wrote and published research reports on the application software industry in Singapore for the National Trade Data Bank, and was a staff member involved in all aspects of U.S. sponsored trade promotion programs, including major international trade exhibitions and economic summits.

Noel holds a degree in political science and international studies from The University of Texas at Arlington.
