Andrea Harris Manager, Site Analysis Edmunds.com

Andrea Harris joined Edmunds.com in February 2000 as Senior Quality Assurance Developer reporting to the Internet Creative Director. Five months later, she transitioned into the role of Search Engine Optimization Specialist, boosting Edmunds.com's visibility in the major search engines and directories. In July 2001, she was promoted to Manager of Site Analysis, responsible for analyzing consumer behavior on the site in addition to search engine marketing. Ms. Harris began to focus her career on the Internet in the early 1990s, when she managed Gopher and Web sites for the North Carolina Supercomputing Center. From November 1999 to August 2000, she served as Technical Writer at Southwest Airlines, responsible for elements of the company’s Web site. There, she conducted competitive analyses, coded press releases for the site, and built a comprehensive online ticketing guide for Southwest Airlines employees. Ms. Harris earned a BA in English from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and completed an intensive Japanese language study at Nagoya University in Nagoya, Japan. Ms. Harris has earned national recognition from the Society for Technical Communication.
