Gaston Taratuta, President of Internet Media Services (IMS), represents Brazil's largest newspaper, Folha, as well as UOL, Latin America's largest Internet service providers. IMS is a range of cross-media solutions, which include portal, print, news, and search engine marketing, all of which grant unique effectiveness in conquering the Brazilian market.
In Brazil, Latin America's most vibrant economy, Folha is the largest newspaper while Folha Online is the number one visited site for news. In addition, UOL is Brazil's main content portal and paid Internet service provider with more than 1.4 million subscribers in more than 2,200 localities throughout the country.
Gaston's efforts focus on the U.S. market and countries in Latin America, with the exception of Brazil and Argentina. Gaston is a specialist in consumer targeting and offering quality services to reach the Brazilian market. He also specializes in Search Engine Marketing, specifically on advertising contracts negotiation with big search giants such as Yahoo and Google.
During the last six years, Gaston was UOL's former international advertising director, also spent two years in Brazil as Sales Advertising Director for the local operation. He also leaded negotiations for Sponsored link contracts with Te Respondo, Overture, and Google.
In his new position in Miami, Gaston drives the media companies' efforts to develop business and advertising sales in the United States and Latin America.
