As Director of the Agency's Interactive Group, t:m interactive, James Hering leads a dedicated team of thirty-seven staffers focused on developing a full range of interactive solutions for a variety of clients.
Since November 1994, he has been involved in the development and evolution of the American Airlines web site, AA.com. From that time, AA.com has grown to over 10 million registered users and has become one of the most successful airline web sites in the world. His experience includes content publishing and development, CRM initiatives, major sponsorship/partnership development and execution and implementation of AA's innovative and award winning interactive marketing campaigns.
Many of the agency's online efforts for Clients have garnered critical success such as the Internet Marketing Association's Excellence in Interactive Marketing Awards, WebAwards for Site Design, CASIE Interactive awards, NY Festivals, selection within Communication Arts and Best of Show at the @d:Tech awards.
James has also worked with clients such as Adams Golf, Bell Helicopter, ExxonMobil, Nationwide Insurance, Nortel Networks, Match.com, Pizza Hut, Sabre, Subaru of America, Nestle Foods, Texas Instruments and Texas Tourism.
After graduating from the Advertising School at Texas Tech University, James began his career as partner in a regional advertising firm in West Texas. Additional agency experience includes Della Famina MacNamee/WCRS and Ackerman and McQueen.
James currently serves as Vice President on the board of the DFW Interactive Marketing Association and is involved with several interactive agency advisory groups with companies like Microsoft, Jupiter Research and iMedia. He is a frequent speaker at interactive industry conferences, colleges and online publishing events and is a columnist on ClickZ.com.
