Vish Makhijani is vice president and general manager of Web Search at
Inktomi Corp. Under his leadership, the Inktomi Web Search business has experienced continued growth, gained significant traction for its paid inclusion programs and made innovative technology enhancements to its search engine. Makhijani has been with Inktomi since early 1999, and, prior to his role in Web search headed-up Inktomi’s investor relations program where he built strong relationships with company stakeholders and financial analysts. Before joining Inktomi, Makhijani worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in both the company’s New York and Silicon Valley practices where he helped clients, including IBM and Thomson Financial Network, with mergers, acquisitions, and public offering issuances. Makhijani earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.
