Kate Wingerson, Editor in Chief of LookSmart, is responsible for the development of directory content for all LookSmart directories. Prior to being appointed Editor in Chief, she was the Chief Ontologist, in charge of the hierarchy and logic of all LookSmart products. After receiving her MLIS from UC Berkeley, she worked as a reference and cataloguing librarian.
