Keynotes for Search Engine Strategies (SES) San Jose 2008 Announced

Search & marketing professionals flock to hear latest news from top industry experts

New York, NY - July 9, 2008 - Search Engine Strategies announces 3 keynote presentations at this summer's SES San Jose 2008, the largest and longest running educational and networking opportunity for marketers and executives interested in learning more about Search Engine Marketing (SEM), including Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and paid search advertising. The premier search industry event (https://searchenginesstrategies.com/sanjose) runs August 18-21, 2008, at the San Jose Convention Center. The anticipated crowd of over 7,000 marketers will have access to 70 panels and sessions on universal search, blended search, video search engine marketing, social media marketing, and more, including the three esteemed keynotes.

Joining them will be Lee Siegel, senior editor at The New Republic, author of the essay collection Falling Upwards, and winner of the 2002 National Magazine Award for Reviews and Criticism. Siegel's controversial critique of Web culture, entitled Against the Machine: Being Human in the Age of the Electronic Mob, was published in January 2008 and will be referenced in his afternoon keynote on Monday, August 18 at 4:30PM.

Additionally, Tuesday morning, August 19 at 9:00AM, treats attendees to a keynote from Satya Nadella, senior vice president at Microsoft, where he leads the engineering efforts across the search (Live Search), portal (MSN) and advertising platforms. Nadella most recently led Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS), where he was responsible for Microsoft Dynamics ERP and the creation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office Small Business product lines.

Chip Heath, professor of Organizational Behavior at Stanford University, will round out the keynote presentations on Thursday, August 21 at 9:00AM. Heath's research examines why certain ideas survive and prosper in the social marketplace of ideas. These "naturally sticky" ideas spread without external help in the form of marketing dollars, PR assistance, or the attention of leaders. Heath is also the co-author of a book titled Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, which taught and consults on the topic of "making ideas stick".

SES San Jose will also feature the ever-popular Orion Panels, including:
