Search Engine Strategies Returns to Chicago

Chicago, IL - Oct 1, 2007 - Search Engine Strategies (SES) returns to Chicago this year with an exciting line-up of popular sessions and new content at SES Chicago 2007. This event, taking place at the Chicago Hilton December 3rd-7th, draws not only a large Chicago & Midwestern crowd, but also delegates from across the country and the world, as over 30 countries were represented last year.
Opening the show with the first of two keynotes will be noted marketing authority and Professor (Emeritus-in-Service) of Integrated Marketing Communication, Northwestern University, Don Schultz, who is known for thought leadership and "telling it like it is" in the world of integrated marketing. In his first Search Engine Strategies keynote address, Professor Shultz will discuss the universe of search behavior along with the cultural impact of search.
Also in the keynote line-up will be marketing guru and author Seth Godin, who will share his thoughts on the industry along with an exclusive peek at his new book, Meatball Sundae. A meatball sundae is a monstrosity, the unfortunate combination of old and new that leads to pretty much nothing at all. By understanding the key drivers of the new marketing, attendees at this keynote will be able to embrace what works and abandon the legacies that are holding the industry back. All SES Chicago attendees will receive an advance copy of Godin's latest book.
Topping the list of fresh content will be mega sessions, designated Orion Panels. An industry thought leader and acknowledged visionary for more than 25 years, Jack Myers will be a featured speaker at the morning Orion Panel entitled Search, Privacy and Community in the Digital Age. Additionally, John Battelle an entrepreneur, journalist, professor, and author and will be a featured speaker at the afternoon Orion Panel entitled Universal, Blended and Vertical Search. They, along with a cast of search and brand marketing thought leaders, will discuss the impact of universal search and the convergence of search, social media, privacy and community.
