Josh Cobb has been involved with internet publishing since 1994 when he designed and built the first online services directory for film and television professionals: Hollywired. He and his company continued to build more than 10,000 web sites for businesses of all types which led to lecturing and teaching in the late 1990's. In 1998 he began consulting on large ecommerce sites, including CareerBuilder. Mr. Cobb was asked to head the Mobile Computing Practice for Sprint until 2002 when he became Director of Search Services for Overture, the pioneer of online sponsored search. With Yahoo's acquisition of Overture in 2004 complete, he moved into the global partnership management group there and built a publisher optimization capability that has driven value and growth across Yahoo and its partner network. He is currently a Sr. Director in the Business Development and Partnerships Group at Yahoo. His focus is on monetizing publisher inventory, optimizing long term user experience and creating growth and value throughout the Yahoo Publisher Partner Network.
