Speaker Profile
Liesel Kipp is the vice president and global head of product management. In this role, she is responsible for the product vision, management, and delivery across the Reuters.com family of websites. Ms. Kipp also supervises search engine optimization and offers best practices to all regions.
Previously, Ms. Kipp was the director and product manager of search for Thomson Reuters, where she developed and communicated the product roadmap and managed relationships with engines and vendors. She also led search engine optimization efforts for the global sites and acted as a search advocate for the company. Her efforts in this role saw traffic double on the global sites.
Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Ms. Kipp was the director of product development at Miavita, an online wellness solution provider, managing product development and information architecture and its application to all aspects of the site and the user experience.
Preceding Miavita, Ms. Kipp was the international web manager at Unilever for the Slim-Fast Foods division. In addition, she produced co-branded sites and promotions for Star Media Networks while managing projects from creative inception through technical delivery. Prior to Star Media Networks, Ms. Kipp was the multimedia designer for Bolt, Beranak and Newman.
Ms. Kipp holds a BA in Spanish from State University of New York, College at Oswego-Oswego, New York.
