Speaker Profile

Austin Shoemaker is co-founder and CTO of Cooliris, a company that is defining a new user experience for the Visual Web. Austin was a master's student in Computer Science at Stanford specializing in artificial intelligence, and stopped out in early 2007 to focus totally on product development. Prior to Cooliris, Austin worked at Apple as an engineer on the Mac OS X, Consumer Applications, and Spotlight teams, and was a member of the original iPhoto team and the youngest intern in the company's history. As an undergraduate, he competed on the rowing team and raced as part of the boat that won Stanford's first rowing national championship in 2005.
