Pablo O'Brien

Pablo is responsible for providing product insights and developing strategy around product development and market positioning for Yahoo! Travel, particularly in the areas of social networking and personalization.

Pablo's previous experience is rich in both travel and technology. Prior to joining Yahoo!, he was Vice President of Marketing for WorldRes, Inc., a leading technology and online hotel reservation service. At WorldRes, Pablo managed the sales, business development and account management teams, and was instrumental in developing a marketing strategy that resulted in a unique and highly profitable set of more than 7,000 independent properties worldwide.

Before WorldRes, Pablo worked as lead consultant and Director of Research for Menlo Consulting Group, a highly respected boutique consulting firm specializing in the international travel industry. With Menlo Consulting Group, Pablo worked with some of the world's leading tourism organizations, including the British Tourist Authority, the Hong Kong Tourist Agency, the European Tourist Commission, United Airlines, American Airlines, Aeromexico, and others.

Pablo has also worked in strategy roles for Visa Corporation and Tandem Computers and as a Peace Corps volunteer in Eastern Europe shortly after the Berlin Wall came down. He holds an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Business at UCLA and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of California at San Diego.
