Senior Director of Search Strategy,
SEMDirector

Martin Laetsch is the Senior Director of Search Strategy at SEMDirector. Laetsch brings over 10 years of experience to SEMDirector and its enterprise customers on the intricacies of developing centralized search programs in global enterprises, based on the work he did while Manager of Worldwide Search at Intel Corporation.

Prior to joining SEMDirector, Laetsch held a variety of positions at Intel. He joined Intel Corporation in August 1996 as a software engineering manager working with developers to optimize software for the Pentium® processor with MMX™ technology. He went on to become the software internationalization manager for the Pentium® II processor in 1998 and formed an internal Creative Services Group in 1999 to create developer focused marketing communications. He managed the Creative Services group through early 2002 when he became the strategic communications manager for the developer audience. Prior to joining Intel, Laetsch spent several years as a senior support engineer at Microsoft working with the Windows® desktop operating system.

In addition to his role working directly with customers, Laetsch will expand SEMDirector’s existing presence with SEMPO, the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization, where Laetsch is on the Board of Advisors. He is also a founding member of the Google Technology Leadership Council, a group dedicated to developing best practices for technology search marketers.

Laetsch is a regular speaker at industry conferences such as Search Engine Strategies and Ad Tech, where he discusses the development of effective global search marketing automation in B-to-B companies, the in-house management of enterprise scale paid search campaigns, and the importance of centralization in search marketing for large enterprises. Laetsch is frequently quoted as a search marketing expert in such publications as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Hub and BtoB Online.
