I'm an Internet Marketing Consultant rather than an SEO because I offer a lot of Marketing and Promotional services that have nothing to do with search engine optimisation.

I'm a veteran of many forums, and have been known as Black_Knight (BK for short) in webmaster forums since 1998/9 when I first became a well-known regular at the MarketPositionTalk forums. I've known Kim Krause since early 1999 from those same forums.

I am a strong fan of doing research, both in terms of researching what works online, and in terms of traditional market research. The old saying that knowledge is power is very true. Informed knowledge beats guesswork every time.

I'm currently working at Fresh Egg, a full service website design, hosting, and marketing company, based in Worthing, West Sussex, UK. My job title is Senior SEO Strategist, although this still ties in to a holistic view of design, usability, marketing and customer behavior, as those who know me would suspect.

What is particularly good about Fresh Egg, and the reason that it was the job I took, is that they specialise professionally in both Web Design/Development and Internet Marketing. Each side is a specialisation and stands alone as an award winning business. It allows me to apply my holistic approach to Internet Marketing to the full.
