Janice Yablonski

Janice Yablonski is the Manager of e-commerce at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and is responsible for the merchandising, marketing, strategy, and design of the online Met Store (www.metmuseum.org/store), a position she has held since 1999. Yablonski also oversees the development and implementation of functional and content enhancements, focusing on the online brand and customer experience.
Yablonski led the creation and launch of the online Met Store in January 2000, part of the redesign of the Metropolitan's Web site that received seven awards in its first year, including the American Association of Museums' Best Institutional Web Site and Advertising Age's Best e-commerce Site.
Yablonski originally joined the Metropolitan in 1989, and over the course of ten years held a number of positions in the Museum's publishing and product development divisions. She holds a B.A. in American History from Barnard College and an M.A. in American Studies from Columbia University. Yablonski is a Customer Experience Council member with Creative Good and serves on the Customer Advisory Board of WebTrends.
